With an academic background\, she holds a Ph.D. in Tissue Engineering\, Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells from the University of Minho. She had the opportunity to work in different research groups not only in Portugal\, but also in the UK and the USA\, giving her a diverse perspective and know-how in the biotechnology and biomaterials field. During her Ph.D. studies\, Sílvia developed a great interest and skills on IP assets\, mostly on the strategies available to protect and translate research into the market. \nNuno Prego Ramos\, is the founder and CEO of Valvian\, a Portuguese biotech company created in January 2024\, when he also led the largest Life Sciences deal in Portugal\, with the sale of a set of innovative cancer therapies\, developed by CellmAbs\, a company he created\, to Germany’s BioNTech. He is a NOVA alumnus\, with an academic background in Biochemistry\, Law and Marketing Management. With 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries\, he has held several commercial\, marketing\, and senior management positions. Having also served as a strategic advisor for several companies in the US and the UK\, Nuno has been involved in the launch of numerous products and in the setting up of commercial operations internationally.
