DESCRIPTION:Session 1: 26th January 2026 \n10:30 – 12:00 (Lisbon Time) \n12:30 – 14:00 (Athens Time) \n Registration required: https://forms.office.com/e/s36EJ7q7AP \nLink to the seminar: Masterclass \n  \nDescription:\nThis online masterclass explores equitable partnerships in global health\, focusing on advancing equity in environments with persistent health inequalities and power imbalances\, and addressing essential principles\, social values\, and ethics in research and teaching. Based on GHTM-IHMT-NOVA initiatives — such as thematic training in global health and the platform on Equity and Fairness in research — this session will share practical examples and reflections on implementing fair partnerships. Participants will be encouraged to consider how these principles can be applied in their own context. \nLecturer: Prof. Dr. Isabel Craveiro  \nIsabel Craveiro (PhD) is an Associate Professor at IHMT-NOVA and researcher at Global Health and Tropical Medicine (GHTM)\, with extensive experience in Portugal\, Brazil\, and Lusophone African countries. She coordinates the Master’s in Public Health and Development and focuses on global health\, health systems strengthening\, and promoting equitable research partnerships. \nLecturer: Prof. Dr. Henrique Silveira \nHenrique Silveira (PhD) is a Full Professor at IHMT-NOVA and researcher at GHTM\, specializing in parasitology and global health. He has held leadership roles including IHMT-NOVA Deputy Director for Science and Coordinator of the GHTM Research Centre\, and has extensive collaboration experience in Brazil and Lusophone Africa. He currently coordinates the PhD Programs in Global Health and Tropical Medicine and contributes to the development of research infrastructures and capacity strengthening initiatives. \nLecturer: Réka M. Cane  \nRéka Maulide Cane (MSc\, MTM&IH) is a health researcher and Research Fellow at GHTM\, and a PhD student in International Health at IHMT-NOVA. She previously coordinated national women’s and children’s health programs at the Ministry of Health in Mozambique. Her work focuses on maternal and child health and nutrition\, including multi-country studies\, with an emphasis on generating evidence to inform health policy and strengthen health systems. \n  \n
