DxHub at European Researchers’ Night 2025

This year, DxHub proudly participated in the European Researchers’ Night 2025, joining two inspiring events across Europe, at FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas) in Heraklion, Greece, and at the Oeiras Marina in Portugal. Both evenings celebrated science, innovation, and the power of collaboration to create healthier, more connected communities.

At the Oeiras Marina, the ITQB NOVA Innovation Office and STAB VIDA showcased how DxHub innovations are transforming the way we think about diagnostics.

Visitors explored Doctor Vida Pocket, a portable diagnostic solution that demonstrates how DxHub technology enables rapid, on-site detection of Legionella and other pathogens, proving that diagnostics can be fast, accessible, and impactful. Through the Innovation Game, participants discovered how ideas evolve into real-world applications, emphasizing how discovery, collaboration, and adaptability drive innovation and advance public health through a One Health approach.

It was an inspiring evening of curiosity, dialogue, and hands-on science – a clear example of how DxHub connects research with everyday life.

Meanwhile, in Heraklion, the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) transformed into a vibrant hub of exploration and creativity. Visitors of all ages engaged with researchers, explored interactive exhibits, and discovered the latest breakthroughs across fields such as space, biology, health, and digital innovation.
Under the umbrella of the Biosensors Lab, DX-HUB joined forces with its sister projects AquaBioSens and UniHealth, as well as the BioPix-T initiative, to present how biosensing and digital tools are shaping the future of diagnostics and One Health.
A highlight of the evening was the BioPix “Pebble”, a compact, user-friendly diagnostic device that perfectly embodies DX-HUB’s vision of portable and accessible health technologies. Visitors had the chance to see how the Pebble enables rapid, point-of-need testing, sparking conversations about the future of smart, connected diagnostics.

Shared Vision for Healthier Communities

From Oeiras to Heraklion, DxHub continues to demonstrate its commitment to bridging research and innovation, making diagnostics more efficient, connected, and accessible. These events not only celebrated European science but also highlighted the importance of engaging the public in the journey of discovery that drives progress for all.
