The DxHub project is implementing a structured job rotation scheme to build capacities, promote mutual learning, and enhance interregional synergies. These rotations provide participants with hands-on experience in different organizational environments, support knowledge exchange, and strengthen collaboration across disciplines and regions.
Aligned with DxHub’s commitment to building inclusive and resilient regional innovation ecosystems, job rotations bring together scientific and societal actors to share best practices and align initiatives between Crete and Oeiras. The participating organizations, ITQB, IHMT, INIAV, STABVIDA and the Municipality of Oeiras, cover a broad spectrum of expertise, from cutting-edge biomedical research and industry collaboration to citizen engagement and One Health initiatives.
As part of WP1 “Training of ecosystem players”, Task 1.3 “Job Rotation Scheme”, Angie Kolokousi (Head of DxHub Management Team, IMBB–FORTH) and Markella Splinaki (EU Project Manager, TIH) visited Oeiras from 12 to 16 October 2025. During their visit, they participated in internal DxHub workshops with all project coordinators to exchange best practices, share insights, and co-design acceleration activities, challenge-driven projects, and citizen engagement actions planned for 2025 and beyond.
Objectives of the Job Rotation
A key DxHub objective is to strengthen engagement between civil society organizations, educational and cultural institutions, and the research and innovation community, ultimately increasing societal awareness, trust, and uptake of One Health diagnostics.
The job rotation scheme supports this goal by facilitating the exchange of expertise between ecosystems, building collaborations across institutions and sectors, enhancing public understanding of common pathogens and preventive measures and highlighting the societal impact of DxHub’s diagnostic innovations
Description and Outcomes
Throughout the visit, multiple meetings and workshops were held with all program partners and their teams. These sessions included in-depth discussions on ongoing and future DxHub projects, joint planning of innovation activities, and the co-creation of citizen engagement initiatives. This job rotation successfully strengthened interregional collaboration, generated new insights for project alignment, and further reinforced Synergies across the DxHub consortium.
