On January 30th and 31st, IMBB FORTH, in Crete, Greece, hosted the kick-off meeting of the European DxHub project, which was attended by approximately 40 participants from various partners from both Portugal and Greece.
Elisabete Brigadeiro (Municipality of Oeiras) and Maria João Leão (Ciência + Cidadã Program) participated in a presentation on Citizen Deliberative Assemblies and Co-creation Spaces, highlighting the importance of citizen science and public participation in scientific innovation.
Pedro Pedrosa, coordinator of the Innovation Office at ITQB NOVA, led four sessions during the event, highlighting the role of the Portuguese DxHub in innovation and the development of new solutions for the diagnosis of infectious diseases.
This meeting was another important step in promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and citizen engagement in high-impact public health projects.
